The Office of the Municipal Manager is politically led by Mayor Nonkongozelo Ruth Lengs and administratively led by Jack Thando Mdeni who is responsible for the following departments: Integrated Developmental Planning; Institutional Performance Management System; Corporate strategy Development; Internal Audit function; Risk Management; Legal Services; Public participation and stakeholder engagement; Section 79 Committees Support; Communications; Customer Care; Special Programs (Youth Development; Women Empowerment; People with Disability Empowerment; Mayor’s Social Investment; HIV and AIDS Coordination); Office of the Mayor and Office of the Speaker. OMM has six managers led by Senior Manager: Strategic Support Services – Nonkuselo Sokutu. Public Participation is led by Manager: Vukile Matyeni; Manager – IDP,M&E and PMS which is led by Nthabeleng Beatrice Matshoba, Internal Audit: is currently led by Siphosabo Magayana who is the Acting Manager; Special Programs & HIV/AIDS Manager: Nosipho Lengs and on the Legal services section is led by Siphelele Gavu who is ths Manager Legal & Compliance.
