The Municipal Manager is the head of administration and accounting officer of the municipality who directly reports to the Mayor. He works with five section 56 Managers also called Directors directly reporting to his office. The Directors are heading the following directorate; Corporate Services, Infrastructure Planning and Development, Planning and Economic Development, Community Services and Budget and Treasury Office. Apart from these directorates mentioned above, the Office of the Municipal Manager is directly responsible for coordinating programs from the Office of the Mayor and Office of the Speaker. The Senior Manager: Strategic Support Services – Nonkuselo Sokutu is the overseer of all the activities in the Office of the Municipal Manager assisted by the following Managers: Vukile Matyeni – Manager Public Participation, Communications and Customer Care; Tabisa Godlwana – Manager IDP, PMS and Risk Management; Bheki Magongo -Manager Internal Audit and Nosipho Lengs – Manager Special Programs & HIV/AIDS Unit
